Apex Bookmark Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 November 2026.
This policy covers the Apex Bookmark Chrome extension and its connected website, https://apexbookmark.in/. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to apexbookmark@gmail.com.
Information used by the service
- Account information: your account ID, email address and, when supplied by your sign-in provider, display name and profile image. Google sign-in is handled by Google and Supabase; the extension does not ask for your Google password. The extension uses an authenticated access token to synchronise records with your account.
- Content you save: exam questions, options, answers, explanations, diagrams, notes, mock-test scorecards and related subject, chapter and question-type tags. Saved records can include the source exam page URL, test title, test identifier and capture date. On supported pages, the extension examines relevant page content to recognise layouts and provide capture controls; it is not a general browser-history collector.
- Study activity: saved attempt status, selected responses where available, correct/incorrect/skipped results, question timing, scores, ranks, percentiles, mistake reasons and practice progress. These support your review and analysis.
- Preferences and support: interface settings, local synchronisation queues, membership status and information you choose to send in support reports. Paid checkout takes place on the connected website or payment provider. The extension does not store card numbers or bank credentials.
Support conversations
When you send a support chat message, we store the message, timestamps and conversation status with your account. Authorised support administrators can see your account name, email address and profile photo and reply as Suraj — Chat Support. Other customers cannot read your conversation. Replies appear in the website chat; a browser does not need to stay open for messages to be saved. Contact apexbookmark@gmail.com about access or deletion requests. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, card details or banking credentials in chat.
Why information is used
Information is used to save and organise your selected study material, authenticate your account, synchronise records, resume interrupted transfers, show your performance and practice tools, manage access to membership features, and respond to support or deletion requests. Reviewed question labels can contribute to shared chapter/type classification: the shared classification results contain labels and vote counts rather than another user's raw question or identity. Service providers can also receive ordinary request metadata, such as IP addresses, when operating the service.
Storage and images
The extension stores study records, preferences and pending transfers in Chrome local storage and IndexedDB. Its access token is kept in Chrome session storage restricted to trusted extension contexts. Account records and uploaded media are stored using Supabase; the website also uses browser storage for sessions and features such as review and history.
Uploaded saved-question and solution images currently use publicly retrievable image URLs. Anyone who has such a URL may view the image without signing in. Account row-access controls do not make those image URLs private. Do not upload personal, confidential or sensitive material in question images. This does not mean that the service publicly lists your account's questions or notes.
Sharing and purpose limits
The service uses providers needed to operate its features, including Google for sign-in, Supabase for authentication, database and media storage, and website hosting infrastructure. Loading a diagram from its original exam-site or image CDN can contact that source. Support administrators can access records where needed to provide support and manage the service. Information may be disclosed where required by law or to address security and abuse.
User data is not sold, is not used or transferred for personalised advertising or unrelated purposes, and is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending. The extension does not implement general browsing-history, unrelated keystroke or advertising tracking. It uses locally packaged executable code; remote API responses and question images are data rather than downloaded executable code.
Retention and your choices
Data is retained while you keep it in the service or while it is needed to operate your account, support and membership features. You can remove saved questions and scorecards using the application's controls. Sign-out and extension removal do not themselves delete your cloud account or all cloud records.
For access, correction or account-data deletion requests, contact apexbookmark@gmail.com from the email associated with your account. The publisher may need to verify the requester's identity. Removing a question record does not necessarily remove an already uploaded image, an exported file, or a provider backup automatically. Mention images and account deletion explicitly in a deletion request. Provider backups and required operational records may remain subject to the applicable provider retention process; no immediate backup purge is promised here.
You can choose not to save content, sign out, remove the extension, or revoke the relevant account permissions. Some features require sign-in and cloud synchronisation. Copies that you export or share are under your control.
